Another year in America's Capitol where political icons gathered to "Reinvest....Rebuild...Reinvent...and Renew old acquaintances while socializin', initializin' politicizin' and just relaxin' in a overly joyful networking arena. The top of the line for me was the Annual Prayer Breakfast featuring Bishop Richard Franklin Norris from Philadelphia as the keynote with his theme "A Prayer for the First Family, A Prayer for the Nation." The other event I found appealing was an evening without politics benefit reception featuring vocalist Angie Stone organized by the NATIONAL MINORITY AIDS COUNCIL designed to raise awareness and the need to mobilize leadership in the alarming rise in HIV/AIDS in America.
